Five Years of Square Works.

On Tuesday 4th June 2019, Square Works opened its doors for the first time. Back then, it constituted two hot-desking areas, four meeting rooms and a handful of offices.

Since then, Square Works has expanded quite literally in every direction, most recently with the opening of 19 Berkeley Square in late 2022. It has become a home to a unique community of Bristol-based creatives and professionals, providing unrivalled networking opportunities in a luxury setting, as well as workplace to look forward to coming into each day.

I joined Square Works later on in its journey, although I have worked in and around Square Works since 2021. In my current role, it has been a great privilege to see our wonderful community go from strength to strength.

To celebrate five successful years of Square Works, we have selected five values that have come to define what it means to be a member here. We will be delivering a bespoke events programme based around these values to celebrate our fifth anniversary.

Hospitality5th Anniversary Party, Thursday 1st August

One of the aspects of Square Works that makes it so unique is that we are also part of The Square Club, Bristol’s private members’ club for the creative industries. In addition to a network of over 1000 creatives, the quarterly members’ party is always one to remember. Join us for some extra special celebrations this August.

Productivity Breakfast Networking, Thursday 18th July

Networking can be boorish at the best of times, which is why we’ve been collaborating with the Better Business Network to bring you a networking event with a difference. Meet companies who are trying to improve the world for the better over a cup of coffee: previous collaborators of BBN include Patagonia, Tony’s Chocolonely and B Lab UK.

Creativity Draw Your Own Mural Workshop – Tuesday 30th July

We are a workspace for creatives from a wide variety of different occupations. Having said this, everyone can benefit from getting creative in the more traditional sense once in a while. Join us for this workshop run by Jess Knights, a local Bristol artist who worked on our beautiful mural with Dave Bain, as we draw our own mural over a glass of wine!

Positivity Pilates & Nutrition Workshops – Friday 19th July & Tuesday 23rd July

Positivity isn’t just a mindset, it’s a lifestyle. Come along to our Pilates Masterclass from Charlie Underwood on Friday 19th July, and follow it up with a bespoke Nutrition Workshop from Sarah Bayliss on Tuesday 23rd July, this time focusing on how we can eat for better sleep.

Community Sports Day – Thursday 25th July

Our charitable initiatives are a huge part of what makes us who we are, and this summer we will be running a classic Sports Day, complete with Pimm’s, a raffle, and an egg and spoon race. All proceeds will go to our Charity of the Year, Jessie May.
