We’re delighted to be showcasing talented Bristol-based artist Carla James’ latest exhibition here at The Square Club throughout November, December and January.

About Carla James

As an artist, Carla has always been inspired by her identity, culture, surroundings, and adventures around the globe.

From her home in the Somerset countryside near the city of Bristol to her family home on the tropical island of Trinidad, Carla finds inspiration everywhere. She loves travelling to beautiful destinations, from the intricate, decorative spaces in Thailand to the sensational beauty of Bali. Passionate about exploring the world, Carla enjoys capturing a little piece of the exotic and bringing it back to the studio to create beautiful works of art.

Carla designs and paints every original artwork, with some pieces then being transformed and printed as unique products and limited-edition art prints.

Carla’s work is known for her use of vivid colours, delicate techniques, and strong sense of style, with artworks often embellished with subtle gold details that reflect her identity.

November: Monday – Saturday 8am – 9pm, Sunday 8am – 3pm

December: Monday – Saturday 8am – 9pm

January: Monday – Saturday 8am – 9pm, Sunday 8am – 3pm

Closed festive period dates: Sunday 22nd December – Friday 3rd January
