During June and July 2022, Mark and Rachel attempted the 630mile hike along the South West Coast Path, from Minehead in North Devon, circumnavigating the whole of Cornwall and then along the Dorset coast into Poole Harbour.

Pandemic recovery? Couples therapy? Unhealthy Jack Sparrow obsession? All viable motives for quitting comfortable jobs, donning pirate attire, and heading off to Minehead for a really long walk.

Having never hiked so far carrying so much kit, never shared a tent together, and definitely never spent quite so much time dressed as pirates, their first steps were taken with some trepidation. After innumerable ups, downs, pints and pasties, they are back to share their tales of life on the path.

For those that know Rachel and Mark from regular Explorers Connect events, you’ll know this will be a journey and an evening full of laughter.
