We’re pleased to be exhibition the ‘Echoes of the Wild’ Art Exhibition by Jennifer Keeney-Bleeg here at The Square Club.
The exhibition will be running from February – April 2025, and all are welcome to visit the exhibition.
This exhibit is an artistic exploration of land and sea that taps into memory and imagination, reflecting how nature’s rhythms awaken our internal world.
~ A message from the artist ~
My art practice is deeply inspired by the experience of being outdoors – and I hope it transports you there! In each painting, I am to bottle up the essence of the natural landscape and help you reconnect with a favourite place, memory, or state of mind.
I work from memory and imagination rather than direct observation, relying on paint and music to help me channel the land and sea onto canvas. I start each piece with no specific goal in mind. Using broad, expressive strokes of acrylic, charcoal, pencil and oil, I build layers and depth. At the same time, I listen to music that complements the mood I’m creating on the canvas. As the colours and marks build, a picture starts to emerge. I follow those clues and start to add finer details until the piece feels complete.
My goal is to help you hear the waves, smell the mountain air, and feel the sense of renewal that comes from being outdoors. Through my work, you can bring that experience indoors and live with it every day. It helps transform the mood of a space and offers an escape to a favourite place, real or imaged.
