Escape from dark depths of Bristol’s winter and arrive in a better place: our own world of music, masks and mayhem. It’s no surprise that The Square’s New Year’s Eve Party not only sells out, but was named Bristol’s best New Year’s Eve by Metro.

We are delighted to announce Baila La Cumbia as our headline act. This twelve piece have fast become Bristol’s party band of choice, tirelessly moving dance-floors to the sounds of cumbia – that’s the upbeat South American sound of brass, piano and percussion. Hear them here. Continuing the carnival music is Groupo Ritmo: crazy Craig Crofton’s carribean jazz outfit. Ru Robinson, HANNS and Mr Puckey are our DJs for the evening playing tropical, afrobeat, house and party tunes.

You’re expected to do your bit: dress to impress in fancy dress Mardi Gras glory. Think masks, hats, feathers, sequins, beads, traditional green, gold and purple, and plenty of snazzy carnival flair!

If that wasn’t enough entertainment there’s casino, magician and circus performers too.
